After 15 years of operation, The Rusty Rose, owned and operated by Carol and Mick Wilson, is set to close and integrate its inventory with The Tin Lily across the street, which is also owned by the Wilsons.
What once started off as a grocery store in the ‘50s and a teen center in the ‘60s, Mick and his brother Tom eventually bought the building in 1974 to turn into a men’s clothing store. The brothers later liquidated the clothing store, and Carol purchased Tom’s share of the building and opened The Rusty Rose, “offering vintage furnishings for home and garden.”
