  • Spring sports aren’t quite finished yet, but the summer baseball season was set to begin this Tuesday, May 16, with the Bison’s season opener against GTRA. The Bison were scheduled to host the Titans at the North Iowa Athletic Complex Tuesday, and they’ll have an eight-day break before hosting their second game of the season on Wednesday, May 24 against North Union. Returning varsity players for the Bison this summer include, from left: Gavin Grunhovd, Charlie Schaefer, Anthony Eisele, and Hayden Meinders. Not pictured are returning players Jamison Kramersmeier and Brendan Price.

    The North Iowa Lady Bison will open their summer softball season next week, as they’re scheduled to hose their first game on Wednesday, May 24 against North Union. North Iowa will only have a varsity squad this year, with games scheduled to begin at 6 p.m. Next week will also feature games at Garner on Thursday, May 25 and Rockford on Friday, May 26.
