The Buffalo Center City Council wants to clean up the town, and the City is considering its options to encourage residents to maintain their properties.
Some of the Council’s concerns include junk on properties, including old cars and wood; trees that need to be trimmed; and lawns that are not being mowed regularly. Mayor John Davids says there are also several houses in town that should come down.
The Council discussed at its June 13 meeting that under the City’s current policy for unkempt lawns, the City can mow the lawn and charge the owner $100.
