COVID-19 numbers for Jan. 26-Feb. 1

New cases of COVID-19 were down in the area last week, as Winnebago County reported just 25 new cases between January 26 and February 1. The number of active cases remained steady at 156, and eight percent of those getting tested received a positive result in the past week. One additional death was reported in Winnebago County for a total of 30.

Kossuth County also saw a decline in new cases, with 51 reported between January 26 and February 1. The number of active cases grew by 10 over the past week, for a total of 311, and the seven-day positivity rate was 11%. Five additional deaths have been reported in Kossuth County, for a total of 49.
