Everyone is safe and under a new roof, after an early morning fire damaged a home in Buffalo Center last Tuesday, Jan. 12. The fire could have been a lot worse if it weren’t for the vigilance of the family’s dogs.
Patricia Chisolm says she and her husband, Bruce, were woken up about 2 a.m. on Tuesday by their dogs, Mac and Roxy. Patricia says she thought the dogs just wanted to go outside, so she let them out for a little bit. She let the dogs back in maybe 15 minutes later and went back to bed, but Mac, a Great Pyrenees, kept coming into the bedroom and woofing.
