Legion to hold flag retirement Monday

American Legion Post 21 will hold its annual Flag Retirement Ceremony on Monday, Sept. 14. The event will start at approximately 7:30 p.m., near sundown, at the parking lot between the Buffalo Center Fire Station and the Ambulance Hall, to the south.

Each year at this time, the Legion will retire, with honor, flags from the surrounding area. These flags are worn, faded, torn, and damaged beyond use and proper display. The public and businesses are asked to look at their flags and ensure they are of high standards and show pride in the United States.
