Winnebago County signs up next group for COVID-19 vaccines

Winnebago County Public Health is now taking names for the next group of people eligible to receive a COVID-19 vaccine under Iowa’s vaccination plan. This group includes individuals with disabilities living in a home setting that are dependent on attendant care staff. Their attendant care staff are also eligible for the vaccine.

Having a disability alone does not qualify someone for this phase. Those who are eligible must meet both requirements, per the Iowa Infectious Disease Advisory Council and IDPH. To be added to the list for a vaccination, call Winnebago County Public Health at 641-585-4763.

Winnebago County Public Health continues to work with local partners Miller Pharmacy, Mercy Clinic-Forest City, and Hy-Vee Pharmacy-Forest City to vaccinate people 65 and older. Anyone in this age group may contact one of these partners to get on a list for vaccination.
