Robert Price

Robert (Bob) Richard Price, age 85, of Lakota, passed away peacefully on August 18, 2024. A private family memorial service will be held to celebrate Bob’s life and legacy.

Bob was born on December 30, 1938, in Lakota to Louis and Edna (Wibben) Price. A lifelong farmer and trucker, Bob enjoyed a rich and fulfilling career working on the land he loved. In his retirement, he delighted in playing cards, golfing, restoring old tractors, and spending many enjoyable moments in Arizona and Lakota with his family and friends. His passion for these activities, along with his warm personality, made him a cherished friend to many.

Bob, along with his gray tooth, was a man of few words but had a heart full of love for his family. His greatest joy was spending time with his wife, children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren sharing stories, laughter, and life lessons that will be passed down for generations. He was able to remember important dates and events based on what year his vehicle was at that time. He was witty and sharp as a tack up until the very end.

Bob is survived by his wife, Sharon (Erdahl), the love of his life. Their marriage was an example of enduring love, partnership, patience, and faith. Together they raised four children during their 67 years of marriage, Jody Sachs (Jim), Jeff Price (Angie), Jill Engelbarts (Ron), and BobbiJo Wolfe (Dave). They are blessed with these four children; 10 grandchildren, Justin Sachs (Jenell), Jessa Wirth (Tim), Rob Price (Brittany), Nick Price (Tammy), Mitch Engelbarts (Heidi), Ashley Risius (Greg), Haley Divan (Jeff), Jenna de Souza (Gustavo), Macey Wolfe, and Brea Dixon (Desmon); and 16 great grandchildren, Jasper and Ruby Wirth, Rockwell, Jewell and Slater Sachs, Jacob and Samantha Price, Brooklyn and Riley Price, Tate and Brynlee Engelbarts, Shaelynn and Grant Risius, Beckett Divan, Luca and Luiza de Souza. He is also survived by five siblings, Luella Nimz (Roger), Karen Julius (Tom), Connie Pedersen (John), Dale Price (Elaine), Tom Price (Teresa), and numerous other relatives who will remember him for his kindness, humor, and unwavering dedication to his family and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents.

Bob will be deeply missed, but the love he gave and the example he set will remain in the hearts of all who knew him.
