Old Fire Liquor is a new family venture

Three siblings and their families are the new owners of Buffalo Center’s liquor store, which reopens this week on Tuesday.

Old Fire Liquor is the new name of the store, located at 113 1st St. NW. The name reflects the history of the building, which was built in 1923 as the town’s first City Hall and also as a fire station.

Three firemen are among the new owners, who include Duane and Teresa Cooper, Kelly and Toni Sabin, and Troy and Melissa Vaudt. Duane has been with the BC Fire Dept. for 25 years, while Kelly has served for 20 and Troy will soon mark 12 years.
