Positive coronavirus cases inch upward

Confirmed cases of COVID-19 remain low in northern Iowa, but more positive cases were identified in Winnebago and all surrounding counties over the past week.

Winnebago County added two positive cases of the illness since last week, for a total of seven, and four of those cases are reported as recovered. Kossuth County added three more cases, for a total of five, with two recovered. Hancock County added two cases for a total of five, Worth County added one for a total of three, and Cerro Gordo County added four for a total of 18.

New cases were also reported in neighboring counties in Minnesota, with Faribault County reporting one new case since last Thursday for 10 total and Freeborn County adding nine cases for 61 total.
