North Iowa junior Sophia Hagen earned a spot at the Individual State Bowling Tournament in Waterloo this week, with her first place finish at the 1A state qualifier last Monday, Feb. 13.
The North Iowa girls’ bowling team traveled to Locomotion Lanes in Sanborn for the qualifier event, where Hagen led all bowlers with a three-game total of 546. She finished 17 pins ahead of second place Jaylan Gray of Shenandoah, who scored 529. Shenandoah led in the team standings at the meet to claim a spot in this week’s Team State Bowling Tournament.
