The North Iowa Bison came up empty-handed during a full week of baseball action last week. The boys hosted Garner-Hayfield-Ventura on Monday and had a hard time stopping the Cardinals in the first inning, where they piled on 16 runs. The Bison did much a better job keeping the Cardinals in check after the first, but North Iowa scored only one run, as they lost 17-1 in four innings.
Charlie Schaefer, Hayden Meinders, and Anthony Eisele each had one hit for North Iowa, and Eisele had the team’s only RBI as he advanced Meinders across home plate with a double.
