A committee calling themselves the BC Water Warriors is leading efforts to raise money for a pool resurfacing project at the Buffalo Center Swimming Pool. The City of Buffalo Center plans to complete the project next spring, and the BC Water Warriors have two fundraisers coming up before the end of the year.
The committee is now selling raffle tickets for a quilt, which will be raffled off following a cookie walk they’re planning for Saturday, Dec. 6 at the Heritage Town Center. The quilt was donated by the Heartwarmers Quilt Guild, and tickets are available from any committee member, at Buffalo Center City Hall, or at the Buffalo Center Public Library. Committee members include Denise French, Joyce Elman, Lorie Bierle, Barb Murra, Diane Matson, Heidi Engelbarts, Missy Duve, and Sarah Paulson.
The quilt is on display at the Buffalo Center Public Library, where people can also stop to buy tickets during Ladies Night Out on Thursday, Nov. 13.
