Track teams compete in first full meet Friday

The North Iowa track season is up and running, and the first full meet for the varsity teams is set for Friday, Mar. 22 with an indoor meet at Minnesota State University, Mankato.

The boys’ and girls’ teams both return multiple state qualifiers to the track this spring. Seniors Miriam Beenken and Rebecca Hofmann and sophomores Lauren Hillesland and Ava Meinders all competed for the Lady Bison at state in 2023. The four ladies competed together in the 4x800 at state, while Hillesland also ran in both the 1500m and 3000m, and Hofmann ran in the 800m.
