Weather prompts changes at the Winnebago County Fair

     A few changes have been made to the schedule for the 2016 Winnebago County Fair, due to the extreme heat and humidity expected for today and tomorrow.

     The 4-H and FFA horse show, originally scheduled for 2 p.m. on Thursday, has been moved back to 5 p.m. Thursday. The location has been changed for the Lil Miss competition at 6:30 p.m. and the Fair Queen coronation at 7 p.m., as those events will now be held at the open stage, rather than the grand stand. Finally for Thursday, the LA Pig Races scheduled for 7:30 p.m. have been canceled.

     One event has been bumped from Friday’s schedule, as the 4-H and FFA sheep/goat show has been rescheduled for 10 a.m. on Sunday, July 24.
