Vrieze takes All-State and All-District honors

North Iowa junior Alexa Vrieze has earned spots on this year’s All-State and All-District teams for girls’ bowling. Vrieze was named to the First Team All-District for the 1A Central District, and she has also been selected for the Second Team All-State for Class 1A.

Vrieze averaged 177.4 pins per game during the 2018-19 season. “She was able to push through the hard conditions and adjust how to play the lane at every single meet,” said North Iowa Head Coach Alyssa Knudson. “With her being a returner, she had the experience to know when to adjust. She also improved throughout the season on her spare shooting.”
