Venteicher retires after 41 years at FTSB

Farmers Trust and Savings Bank will celebrate the 41 year career of Deb Venteicher this Wednesday, with a retirement open house at the Heritage Town Center. A light meal will be served during the open house from 4-6 p.m., and the community is invited to attend. Deb, who serves as Senior Vice President at the bank, officially retires on January 31.

A native of Buffalo Center, Deb has been with the bank since September 1, 1976. Prior to that, she worked about four years at the cooperative oil company, until an employee at the bank approached her about taking a job at FTSB. At that time, Deb says she never would have guessed she’d spend the next four decades working at the bank.

During her career at FTSB, Deb has done just about everything there is to do at the bank. She started out as a teller, and she went on to work in areas such as consumer and student loans, operations, compliance, new accounts, and IRAs.

“You really know the whole operation when you do that,” said Deb. “That’s good. It’s not like a big bank. You wear a lot of hats, because you have to. It’s been a great job.”
