Two vie for open Supervisor seat

Two Republicans are hoping to be the next Winnebago County Supervisor in District 3. Bill Jensvold of Buffalo Center and Stacy Willert of Thompson are seeking election to the seat formerly held for two terms by Democrat Willie Wubben of Buffalo Center, who passed away this September.

Bill Jensvold is the Republican nominee for Winnebago County Supervisor in District 3. Jensvold is self-employed as a truck driver and handyman, and he is also a bus driver for the North Iowa School District.

Stacy Willert is also seeking election to the Winnebago County Board of Supervisors in District 3. He was nominated by petition to be on November’s ballot after losing to Jensvold in the Republican Primary. Willert has served as a parts coordinator at Winnebago Industries in Forest City for 23 years, and he is also the owner of Squid Willy’s Bar & Grill in Thompson and Uptown Liquor in Forest City.
