Two close games for Lady Bison

The North Iowa girls’ basketball team played a pair of good matches last week, as they took on the Bulldogs from Lake Mills and the Eagles from Eagle Grove.

First up, the Lady Bison hosted Lake Mills on Tuesday, Jan. 7, as they lost 34-46.

“I thought this was the best game we have played all year on both ends of the floor,” said Head Coach Rick Meyer. “We struggled early but came back in the second quarter and were only down by five at halftime. In the second half we had the lead briefly, but they got a couple of turnovers and pushed the lead back up to nine at the start of the fourth quarter. We just could not climb back into it from that point on.”

Sam Stenersen led the Lady Bison in scoring for the night with 10 points, and she had eight rebounds.
