Track off to unorthodox start

The North Iowa Bison and Lady Bison finally got onto the track last Thursday, during an unscored meet at Garner.

The Lady Bison Relays originally scheduled that day were canceled due to poor field and facility conditions, but Garner-Hayfield/ Ventura put together an impromptu meet at their track.

Garner also suffered from poor field conditions, so athletes were unable to compete in field events, and places and scoring were not counted for the meet.

“The kids came out and got their first test of where they’re at, which was very beneficial,” said Coach Potter. “Everyone that was healthy got to participate in at least one event, while most were busy with multiple events throughout the evening.”
