Three Lady Bison take Conference honors

     The North Iowa Lady Bison have earned a number of post-season honors for the 2015 softball season, which they finished with a 12-15 record.

     Senior Rebecca Murray received a slew of honors, including Second Team All-State, All-District, and First Team All-Conference. Murray had 27 hits in 64 at bats this season, including seven doubles and a home run for a total of 19 RBIs. She had an on base percentage of .456, a slugging percentage of .578 and a batting average of .422.

     Sophomore Kendall Melz was named to the Second Team All-Conference. She had 29 hits in 70 at bats, with nine doubles, four home runs and 14 RBIs, and she scored 21 runs. Her on base percentage was .461, her slugging percentage was .714 and her batting average was .414. She had 12 stolen bases out of 13 attempts.

     Freshman Krista Schutter earned All-Conference Honorable Mention this season. She had 24 hits in 58 at bats, including seven doubles and one home run. She had 10 RBIs and scored 17 runs. Her on base percentage was .485, her slugging percentage was .586, and her batting average was .414. She went 11/11 on stolen bases.
