Thompson Quasqui proceeds benefit community

Thompson’s Quasquicentennial committee met for the final time last week to distribute funds left over from the June 10, 2017 celebration. The money was raised through the sale of souvenir items and fundraisers, and the proceeds totaled more than the cost of the celebration. A total of $4,500 was given out.

These funds were donated back to various community groups that include Zion Lutheran Church, Bethany Lutheran Church, Thompson United Methodist Church, Thompson Public Library, Thompson Fire Department, Town and Country Garden Club, Pool and Park Board, Thompson Museum, Winnebago Fair Board and North Iowa Betterment.
