Tasty Ten serves breakfast each Friday morning

A new student-run business at North Iowa High School will serve breakfast for the community on Friday mornings, beginning April 10.

As part of their school work, the entrepreneurship class, taught by Mrs. Devyn Briggs and substitute Juanita Stevens, had to come up with a plan for their very own business. The group of 10 students settled on the idea of cooking and serving breakfast, under the business name Tasty Ten.

Breakfast will be served Friday mornings through May 15 in the Family Consumer Science room. Cost for the meal is $5.50, but patrons can save 50 cents by using a code word found on various advertisements. These code words will help the students keep track of what advertising methods work the best for them. Any profit generated by the business will be donated toward the school’s media center.
