Task Force gets grant for ‘Games on the Go’

The Winnebago County Task Force received support last week for its “Games on the Go” program, with a $500 grant from Winnebago County Telecom Association and Aureon.

Molly Winter, director of the Winnebago County Task Force, says the “Games on the Go” include giant versions of games like Connect 4 or Jenga that came be used for various events in the local communities. She says they want to provide fun things for people to do that don’t involve using substances.

The games are mobile and were purchased with the intention to provide all of Winnebago County a free event for people of all ages to come together in a safe, substance free environment and play games as a family; as a community. Since the games are mobile, the Task Force will be able to utilize them in every town in the county.
