Student artwork up for auction Friday

     The North Iowa High School art students will auction off dozens of their artworks this Friday, Jan. 16 during the home basketball games. The silent auction is being held to raise money for new supplies for the art department, including a new electric potter’s wheel.

     The original artworks up for auction include drawings, paintings, pottery and sculptures by students in grades 9-12. Art teacher Mr. Steve Bergeson donated one of his works for the auction, as did local artists Dean Swenson and Tim Wirth.

     The art department encourages everyone to check out the artwork, which will be on display in the gym lobby at the school.
