Softball team notches two more wins

The North Iowa softball team picked up two wins in high-scoring contests last week, after closing out the month of May with a week of losses.

The Lady Bison played at Britt on Wednesday, May 29, where they fell 6-11 to West Hancock despite a seventh inning rally. Brenna Paulson led North Iowa with three hits and three RBIs, while Jenna Govern had two hits. Leah Kramersmeier pitched four innings and recorded eight strikeouts while giving up one hit and seven earned runs. Hannah Boekelman pitched three innings as she struck out three batters while giving up one hit and three earned runs.

“We took the lead scoring two runs in the top of the third inning, but the Eagles responded with eleven runs over the next four innings to take an 11-2 lead,” said Head Coach Chad Hinders.
