Sit back and relax at Library Park

     New benches and a picnic table have arrived at the Library Park in Buffalo Center. City workers and volunteers were at the park last Wednesday to install the furniture, which was purchased thanks to a $983 grant from the Build with Bags program.

     The furniture was manufactured by Plastic Recycling of Iowa Falls and matches the benches and planters used on Main Street during the summer. As part of the Build with Bags program, the library is also offering reusable cloth bags to anyone who brings in 50 plastic bags to the library for recycling.

     The library hopes that the park will be a nice spot for outdoor reading, and it will be useful for the library’s summer reading program. The library also invites people to use the park for coffee time and small meetings and as a lunch spot for downtown business people.
