Ricke caps prolific speech career at North Iowa

     North Iowa senior Caleb Ricke topped off the Speech Extravaganza last Thursday night at the school with his performance of “Freak Flag” from Shrek the Musical, for which he received a standing ovation. This was one of two pieces he took to the individual All-State speech festival this year, and Caleb has the rare distinction of being selected for All-State during each of the four years of his high school career. In fact, he is the only North Iowa student to have accomplished this feat in the state Speech Association’s record books dating back to 1979.
