Rake incumbents seek reelection
Four elected officials in Rake will ask voters to grant them another term in office during Election Day next Tuesday, Nov. 7. Up for reelection are Rake Mayor Louise Hagedorn and city council members Phil Benn, Melissa Duve and Ronald Johnson.
Louise Hagedorn
Louise Hagedorn has served as Rake’s mayor for eight years. She previously worked as an elementary school teacher for 36 years. She is a member of Zion Lutheran Church in Rake, where she serves as secretary of the WELCA group.
Hagedorn says she’s seeking reelection because she wants to keep Rake a viable, progressive and safe community for years to come. She says she wants to see the town move forward with some type of water treatment facility and to continue demolition of derelict buildings.
