Pool season off to a busy start

Middle school students were the first to test the water at the Buffalo Center Swimming Pool this year, as they spent the afternoon at Lions Park on May 30.

The summer got off to a nice warm start last week at the Buffalo Center Swimming Pool, as attendance exceeded 100 swimmers on several days. The first group to use the pool this year was students from North Iowa Middle School, who spent the afternoon of their final day of school on May 30 at Lions Park. The official opening of the pool season was on Friday, May 31.

Pool Manager Sarah Paulson says the water was a little cool during the first few days, as they are waiting to get the pool heater replaced, but the water warmed up last week when temperatures reached into the 80s.
