North Iowa All-Stars include MVP Tate Corporon

     Three North Iowa varsity basketball players were selected for the NIACC all-star high school basketball games held Sunday, Apr. 13 in Mason City. Tate Corporon, Paige Hassebroek and Rachel Boekelman got a chance to play with and against the best high school athletes in northern Iowa, as players from schools west of I-35 competed against players from school east of the Interstate.

     Corporon was named to the Blue team for the boys, which won 127-98 over the Gold team. Corporon led his squad with 22 points and was named the Blue team’s MVP.

     Hassebroek and Boekelman were selected for the Gold team for the girls, and they lost their match to the Blue team 92-51.

     The three athletes are all seniors at North Iowa High School.
