New program connects helpers with those in need

The COVID-19 pandemic has resulted in many people taking shelter in their homes to avoid catching or spreading this new disease, and some people may need a little extra help in these times of increased isolation.

The North Iowa Ministerial Association is looking to help by connecting volunteers with people in need. This new program utilizes forms that people can fill out online to indicate whether “I Need Help” or “I Can Help”. The forms can be found on the Bethlehem Lutheran Church website at www.bethlehemlutheranbc.com, by clicking on “Contact Us” and then either the “I Need Help” or “I Can Help” options. This program is available to everyone in the North Iowa communities, regardless of church affiliation.

Those in need of help can respond by saying what they need help with and a way they can be reached by phone or email. Anyone interested in helping can state the ways they can help and provide their contact information. Once submitted, the Ministerial Association will receive the form and will work to connect people in need with the appropriate help.

For questions, contact any local pastor or call Bethlehem Lutheran Church at 641-562-2552.
