New museum exhibit debuts for the 4th

Make plans to stop at the Heritage Museum during Buffalo Center’s 4th of July celebration, when the museum will debut a new exhibit.

The new exhibit, titled “Gowns and Glamour”, features wedding gowns through the years, as well as bridesmaid and flower girl dresses and Prom dresses. See how much glamorous fashion has changed over the years.

The exhibit has wedding outfits, including men’s suit coats, from Mrs. Sever Jensvold’s aqua dress of 1896 to a beautiful white one of 2015. One lovely 1906 wedding dress, a soft gold color, has the left-over material with it, indicating that it was painstakingly handmade. People are invited to take a special look at this one.

The museum also has a large display of local wedding photos. See if your relatives are represented.

This exhibit will be open for the first time on the 4th of July, from 4-8 p.m. At the same time, in the small meeting room at the Heritage Town Center, the Buffalo Center Historical Society will be serving ice cream and cake for a free will offering.

Everyone is invited to bring their visitors and view this new exhibit on the 4th while enjoying dessert and a cool place to sit and visit.
