New city clerk in Thompson

The community of Thompson has a new city clerk, as Jill Krull officially started on the job Thursday, Feb. 1. The Thompson city council voted to hire Krull for the job on January 16, following the resignation of longtime city clerk Diane Price.

Krull, from Thompson, previously worked for 15 years at Titonka Savings Bank in Forest City. While there, she served as a loan administrator and overdraft administrator. Her husband, Lynn, is the owner of K1 Excavating and also works as a farmer.

Price has held her position at Thompson city hall for nearly 20 years, and she is leaving for a new position as deputy city clerk in Lake Mills. She started that job in December, and her last day as Thompson city clerk was Wednesday, Jan. 31.
