MercyOne reopens in Buffalo Center

MercyOne Buffalo Center Family Medicine is seeing patients once again, as the clinic reopened on Monday, January 4, after being closed for several weeks.

Staying healthy is more important now than ever. Patients are encouraged to stay up to date on their annual exams and other regularly scheduled appointments. In addition to in-person care, patients can receive quality care from their MercyOne Buffalo Center Family Medicine provider in the comfort of their home with telehealth visits. To schedule a visit for routine care or health concerns not related to COVID-19, call 641-562-2424. Appointments are available from 8 a.m. – 5 p.m. Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday and 8 a.m. – 12 p.m. on Thursday.

MercyOne Forest City Family Medicine is dedicated to the care of patients from the Buffalo Center area who have symptoms related to COVID-19. The clinic will continue to be open Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Those experiencing COVID-19 symptoms are encouraged to call ahead at 641-562-2424 to schedule their visit. COVID-19 symptoms include:

  • Fever or chills
  • Cough
  • Shortness of breath or difficulty breathing
  • Fatigue
  • Muscle or body aches
  • Headache
  • New loss of taste or smell
  • Sore throat
  • Congestion or runny nose
  • Nausea or vomiting
  • Diarrhea

MercyOne’s priority is safe care, and they have implemented numerous precautions and safe practice guidelines. MercyOne is adhering to all CDC guidelines including social distancing, mandatory masks for everyone over two years of age, and using increased cleaning procedures.
