Meat & Music Spectacular celebrates fifth year

North Iowa Betterment had a nice day for the fifth annual Meat & Music Spectacular, held Saturday, August 3 in downtown Buffalo Center. NIB Director Beth Matheson says everything seemed to go pretty smoothly during the day, and they were pleased with the results.

Highlights of the day included the annual barbecue competition, with 12 teams taking part, and music throughout the afternoon by DJ Ryan Silber and an evening concert by The Nadas. Matheson says The Nadas were great to work with, and they played mostly their own original music.

The day also featured a craft and vendor show, a bags tournament, bingo by the Rake Fire Dept., kids’ games and face painting, and food served by NIB as well as the participating teams.
