Main joins Simply U Salon

     Simply U Salon in Buffalo Center has a new stylist, as Sydney Main joined owner Alicea Wirtjes at the salon on August 29.

     Main, who lives in rural Lakota, is a 2016 graduate of North Iowa High School. She went on to study cosmetology at PCI Academy in Ames, where she gained experience working with customers. She graduated from PCI last month and received her license from the Iowa Board of Cosmetology Arts & Sciences.

     At Simply U, Main offers full hair styling services, along with manicures, pedicures and gel polish for nails, as well as facial waxing. She is available for appointments on weekdays, as well as every other Saturday.

     Main is no stranger to Simply U, as she’s been going there to get her hair done since the salon opened in 2013. When Main decided during high school that she would like to become a cosmetologist, Wirtjes offered her a place in her salon. “Alicea said there was no reason to look any further than working with her,” said Main.
