Local COVID-19 numbers for March 23-29

COVID-19 activity remained fairly steady in the area over the past week, as Winnebago County reported just four new positive tests with a 3% positivity rate between March 23-29. A total of 1,434 positive tests have now been reported in the county.

Kossuth County reported 21 new positive COVID-19 tests over the past week, with a 6% positivity rate. There have been 2,179 positive tests in the county since the start of the pandemic.

About 300 more people have completed their vaccination series in Winnebago County, with a total of 1,653 receiving their second dose of a two-dose vaccine. Nineteen individuals in the county have received a single-dose vaccine, and that number is unchanged from last week.

In Kossuth County, about 400 more people completed their vaccine series, with 2,767 having received their second dose of a two-dose vaccine. Single-dose vaccines have also been administered to 42 people in Kossuth County.

No additional deaths linked to COVID-19 were reported in either county last week.
