Legislators hear from local constituents

Rep. Tedd Gassman and Sen. Dennis Guth came to Buffalo Center on Friday, Feb. 16, to hear from constituents, as they closed out funnel week in Des Moines. Funnel week is the deadline for bills to get through committee to be considered this year by the Iowa Legislature. Guth and Gassman talked about some of the bills they’ve been involved with this year before taking questions from the crowd.

Among the topics brought up by constituents in Buffalo Center was water quality.

Zack Smith asked if the recently- approved $282 million water quality bill would be enough to make a difference.
