Lady Bison start season 2-2

The North Iowa Lady Bison are off to a 2-2 start to the summer softball season.

The season got underway at North Union on Wednesday, May 24, where the Lady Bison lost their opener, 12-0. North Iowa came away without any hits for the night. Cassidy Sachs took the loss, as she gave up 11 earned runs while striking out four batters in three innings.

“Tonight we faced one of the top pitchers in the conference. We had a tough night at the plate, but hopefully that will improve as the season goes on,” said Lady Bison Head Coach Chad Hinders. “Defensively, we were able to get out of the first inning without surrendering a run. The second and third we were not as fortunate, as they were able to put back-to-back multiple run innings together to end the game early after three innings.”
