Ladies send discus throwers to state

Kenzie Bengtson and Brenna Paulson will represent North Iowa at the state track and field meet in Des Moines this week, after both young ladies set high marks in the discus at last Thursday’s state qualifier meet in Northwood.

Bengtson took third place at the qualifier meet with her throw of 117’4”, while Paulson placed fifth with a throw of 112’9”. Statewide, Bengtson placed 11th among all throwers in Class 1A, while Paulson ranked 18th.
