Kristin Christ

Kristin M. Christ, 44, of Blue Earth, MN passed away Tuesday, March 22, 2022, at the United Hospital District in Blue Earth. A time of remembering and celebrating Kristin’s life will be held Sunday, April 3, 2022, from 1:00 to 3:00 p.m. at the Lakeview Funeral Home in Fairmont, MN. There will be a private family burial held at a later date.

Kristin May Christ was born on November 8, 1977, in Fairmont, the daughter of Wallace and Marilyn (Thompson) Christ. She would be the oldest of three sisters, which meant she thought she was in charge; a role that fit her well.

Kristin was many things, but she was not boring. She had a kind and giving heart and found great joy in working as a caregiver for others. In her youth, she was active in 4-H, where she won multiple trophies for chickens and refinished many family heirlooms. Kristin was passionate about music; she was an accomplished musician and could play the piano, organ, and accordion in addition to any brass instrument. She had a beautiful alto voice and was not shy to remind you that she was blessed/cursed with perfect pitch. Singing show tunes with her sisters on the family piano happened often. She loved listening to big band music, especially Lawrence Welk, and was a member of the Lawrence Welk Fan Club.

Kristin had a deep love for animals and always had a menagerie of companions ranging from cats and dogs to parrots and chinchillas. Kristin was also active in the legion auxiliary and was a member of the Cooking Club of America. The roaming headquarters of the Bob Ross Fan Club was never too far away, always glad to emerge from frolicking with happy little trees to talk.

Left to cherish her memory is her father, Wallace Christ; sisters, Kathleen Christ and Karen Christ Aalgaard; brother-in-law, Adam Aalgaard; aunt, Arliss “Rusti” Hessig; uncle, Roger Thompson; as well as many cousins, extended family and friends.

Kristin was preceded in death by her mother, Marilyn Christ; grandparents, Merwin and Helen Thompson and Walter and Leona Christ; and a cousin, Jim Hessig.

“Good night, good night, until we meet again. Adios, au revoir, auf wiedersehen, til then. And though it’s always sweet sorrow to part, you know you’ll always remain in my heart.”
