Jorgensons to appear on Family Feud

“We got another good one for you tonight folks!” said Steve Harvey, host of the game show Family Feud, as he welcomed the Jorgenson family of Ledyard to a recent taping of the show. The group of five contestants includes Diane and Eldon Jorgenson of Ledyard, daughter Stacie Anderson of Welcome, MN, Jamie (Blome) Woodburn of Long Lake, MN and Jake Blome of Maple Grove, MN.

Friends started to notify Diane that Family Feud would be holding an open casting call in Minneapolis on September 24 and 25, 2016. She checked it out and found any family trying out had to email a 3-5 minute video and get an appointment. The day after sending her video, Family Feud notified Diane that her group was to come on the 24th.

Upon arriving, paperwork was completed, and they went into a room with approximately 250 other hopeful contestants. Every family would play a shortened version of the game with two questions being answered.

“The casting crew didn’t care if you won or lost, but how you would be on camera and the way you projected yourself,” said Diane. “Fun, exciting and natural is what they want.” She says they watched 25 games during their session.
