Huntington receives NIC Honorable Mention

     North Iowa senior Ashley Huntington received All-Conference Honorable Mention from the coaches of the North Iowa Conference for the 2014 volleyball season. Huntington served as the libero on this year’s team, ending the season with 230 digs and a serve rate of 99% with 100 out of 101 attempts.

     “Ashley deserves this honor, because she always hustled and had a great attitude all season,” said North Iowa Head Coach Sharla Hassebroek. “She played through some adversity and never stopped giving 100%. She was an awesome role model and leader for our underclassmen. She will truly be missed next season.” 

     Ashley’s future plans are to attend the University of Northern Iowa and pursue a nursing degree. She is the daughter of Brad and Loree Huntington of Thompson.
