Holiday Lights Contest includes four communities

     North Iowa Betterment is expanding its Holiday Lights Contest this year, as everyone in the communities of Buffalo Center, Lakota, Rake and Thompson is invited to participate.

     Judging will consist of four categories, including “Most Creative,” “Most Elegant,” “Best Yard Display,” and “The Clark Griswold.” One winner will be chosen in each category, and then the four winners will be entered into a drawing for first through fourth place prizes. This year’s prizes include more than $700 in local gift certificates.

     Everyone who lives within the city limits of Buffalo Center, Lakota, Rake and Thompson and decorates their homes will automatically be considered in the judging. Anyone living outside of city limits who would like to participate in the judging may contact a committee member: Andrew Porter, Jeff Ostermann or Joe Angstman. Judging will take place on Monday, December 18.
