Haugen joins Buffalo Center City Council

The newest member of the Buffalo Center City Council is Nicholas Haugen, who was appointed to the council during a special meeting last Monday, Feb. 26. He fills the seat of Councilman Bill Jensvold, who resigned in January.

Haugen, who is originally from Fredericksburg, has lived in Buffalo Center since 2013. He works at Asmus Farm Supply of Rake in their warehouse. He serves on the Buffalo Center Fire Department, where he is the secretary, and he also helps out with the annual Meat & Music Spectacular in Buffalo Center.

Nick and his wife, Halie (Matson) Haugen have a daughter, Sadie, and a baby expected in June.
