Gruis Men’s Club Champions

     The 2018 Gruis Recreation Area Men’s Club Championship was held on Saturday, July 14. There were a total of 31 golfers that competed in three divisions. The Open division had 14 golfers, and after the third round, Vic Garza (116) is the champion, holding off Eric Krull (117) by one stroke.

     The Seniors division had seven golfers competing, where Jim Sachs (120) defeated Rande Giesking (120) on a sudden-death playoff hole.

     The Super Seniors division had 10 golfers playing in two rounds of golf, with the champion being Dave Kakacek (79), followed up by Terry Bredeson (84).

     “It was a beautiful day of golf!” said Jeff Ostermann of the TCRA Board of Directors. “The course looks great, and Mark and Shelda Krull continue to do an excellent job in the clubhouse! Come out to your local course to enjoy the good food and play a few rounds of golf while there’s still summer left!”
