Grocery store under new ownership

Main Street Market is the new name of the grocery store in Buffalo Center, as the business has new owners. Doug and Barb Murra have purchased the former Johnson’s Food Center from Jeff and Kristi Johnson, who have owned the store since October of 2004. The official first day of business as Main Street Market was this Monday, May 22.

Jeff has managed the local grocery store since 2012, and he has been in the grocery business since 1984. The Johnsons have owned up to four grocery stores at a time, but now Jeff says he’s decided to get out of the business and look for something less physically demanding, due to health reasons.
