Golfers play in three meets

The North Iowa golf teams competed in three meets last week, including two home meets at Gruis Recreation Area.

On Monday, April 22, North Iowa hosted Belmond-Klemme and GHV at Gruis. The boys finished third with 211 points behind GHV with 196 and Belmond- Klemme with 207. Logan Leesch scored 45, followed by Cedric Frerichs and Logan Knudson with 53 each, Xander Silber 60, and Brett Doege 62. Monroe Brackey scored a 61 on the girls’ side.

North Iowa then hosted Bishop Garrigan and North Union when they went back to Gruis on Tuesday, April 23. Knudson had the boys’ low score with 50, followed by Leesch with 51, Frerichs 54, Doege 56, and Silber 62. Brackey scored a 61.
