Garner hosts Top of Iowa track meet

The North Iowa track teams traveled to Garner last Thursday, May 2 to compete in the Top of Iowa Conference meet.

Standouts of the night included Brenna Paulson’s win in the girls’ discus, along with Isaiah Walk placing in four events for the boys.

“While it started overcast and a bit brisk, the clouds parted and the sun came out to make a beautiful night for track and field,” said Head Coach Jon Potter. “Points were difficult to come by for the Bison - due to the combination of missing participants and the quality of the competition. Many Bison runners posted season or lifetime bests but were unable to break into the top six places to earn points. This was a quality meet which will hopefully help prepare us the upcoming state qualifying meet at Northwood.”
